Silver-backed Chevrotains

In November 2019 Global Wildlife Conservation rediscovered a wildlife species called the Silver-backed Chevrotain – a species the size of a rabbit, has a silver sheen, and has been hanging on in a region of Vietnam that is sadly ravaged by poaching snares. Scientists know almost nothing about the species’ general ecology or conservation status, making it one of the highest mammal conservation priorities in the Greater Annamites.

The silver-backed chevrotain, also called the Vietnamese mouse-deer, was last recorded more than 25 years ago and is the first mammal rediscovered on Global Wildlife Conservation’s list of top 25 most wanted in their Search for Lost Species. This is one of a number of fascinating species that live in the diverse tropical forests of Southeast Asia.

Sustainably Screen Printed

This Silver-backed Chevrotain interactive screenprint has been designed and hand-printed by Ed and James in a limited edition of 40 prints. Hand printed on Fedrigoni 350gsm Freelife Cento, a carbon neutral paper created in collaboration with The World Land Trust. Numbered and embossed, this interactive fourteen layer screenprint is comprised of thirteen layers of water based pigment ink, finished with one layer of phosphorescent ink.
